The technology is good and getting better, but it is absolutely at its best now and into the future as an augmentation of human capacity, not a replacement.

It’s short-sighted tech-ignorant executives who are rushing to lay off people and replace them with AI. It’s going to go about as well as you would expect, and the fad will pass.
