I am absolutely serious. Owen Benjamin, of all people, pointed out that the weird noises Hawking was making were like Chewbacca's grunts and growls and that Hawking's 'translator' was like Han Solo, conveying what the wookiee meant.

Also that the phonemes in the grunts were too scarce to be the sentences the 'translator' was speaking. Because it was that obvious they eventually replaced the human translator with a computer that had an offscreen controller typing the alleged words of Hawking with a Macintalk voice then spoke.
