No, they're really not. I've had students copy/paste from Google translated texts and not even check if it made sense. I've had kids submit PowerPoints where they didn't even bother to make sure all the slides were in the same font. One of my colleagues had a kid copy/paste from a web page and not even take out the copyright bit at the bottom of the page.
Never underestimate the laziness of today's students.
