They needed a bad guy is why he’s the bad guy. :p. So he was the bad guy. Basically a long term foe of one of the main characters. He thought he was awesome, but felt he fell short because he didn’t have “the force”. So he was making clones of himself that would have it. Stupid sounding, but yeah, Star Wars is basically stupid stuff all around.
