To keep apps on the Google Play store, it only costs a one-time fee of less than $50. The worst it gets is $100 a year to keep apps on the apple store, last time I checked.
Client builders aren't starving. The people maintaining relays are the people doing the heavy lifting. Feel free to try and change my mind if you disagree.
