twitter is hardly the best and because there's no interop, it doesn't really matter there, they control the whole thing. If they decide tomorrow to change, they'll change and people will have to adapt... but in nostr, because we have interop and multiple clients behave differently, this question arises and we can collectively choose what the best approach is, so we can switch clients and everything behaves seamlessly everywhere
