One of the weirdest neoliberal complaints I've heard lately is that employment in the public service makes staff unavailable to work in the "private sector".
I'm not aware of people bonded to their public service job, unable to leave. So that leaves two possible reasons people don't want to quit and go work for these companies;
1) they're run by human pond scum who abuse their staff and profit off human misery. In which case abolishing the entire public service wouldn't get them staff.
