I'm super ambiguous about how public I want this account to be, and how much self-promotion I want to be doing. I used to be able to mobilize attention on twitter (rip), which was useful for career purposes (like actually getting attention to my book). But also it felt like I was performing 'smart tech man' rather than being authentic, over there.
I suppose I could split my fedi presence in a public promotion account that I link everywhere, and a locked one.
