As well as #nzpol, the hashtags #ukpol and #uspol will trend a lot at various times during 2024. My concern is that here on Mastodon we need to respect those that don't wish to participate in such discussions, no matter how much some of us wish to discuss them. Hashtags are our friends, allowing those of us who wish to engage in the hurly-burly of politics to do so, but allowing those that don't wish to do so, a seemless way not to.",
