The main difference between businessmen and politicians is access to violence. Politicians want to blow you up or jail you if they don't like you. Businessmen can't do that so easily. They must co-exist with the competition. Elon and Trump might have their clashes, but they're businessmen and they likely won't go scorched Earth on each other and destroy the opportunities they have. They won't view each other as enemies the way politicians do. They'll just see each other as tough negotiators, which will likely make them respect each other even more. Tough men like tough men.
