NGC 6960: The Witch's Broom #Nebula
A 10,000-year-old supernova explosion created the Veil Nebula, visible today as expanding debris. This image shows its Witch's Broom segment (NGC 6960), with filaments in hydrogen (red) and oxygen (blue-green). Spanning 35 light-years, it lies in Cygnus, 1,400 light-years away. The bright star is 52 Cygni, not part of the nebula.
