Recently, some countries have restarted attempts to buy new nuclear reactors. In this post, I first set out why getting new nuclear power by 2038 is a nuts idea, but then take a look at energy diversification, which changes the picture a bit. However, the way we are going about ordering nuclear power is just plain wrong, and it is unlikely we'll do better.
