My team won the AFL Grand Final! :)
Yesterday, when Mike Brady sang https://youtu.be/y8Jkp2kdb04 before the game, it brought me to tears. I have been to a Grand Final a couple times and the atmosphere is electric with the crowd. It's not a particularly brilliant song, it's more its connection to Aussie tradition (even though I usually feel more Dutch than Aussie).
The reason I had tears is because of the anger I felt towards our Prime Minister and government doing its best to destroy this country. Increasing our population from 26M to over 27M in 18 months, digital ID that was snuck through at Easter, now closing down our free speech with yet more sneaky legislation while everyone's distracted, plus more and more Australians living in cars and tents, etc.
