You know what I periodically think of that annoys me? Microsoft really tried to revolutionize the file system back when they were working on Whistler, and it got canned. Almost three decades later, we still don’t have a file system that lets you tag directories and files, add custom attributes, search by them, etc.

The closest thing I’ve found is TMSU (https://tmsu.org) for Linux: awesome tool, lousy name. But OS vendors could do SO much better.
