I just had a sudden but very strong memory of the time I upgraded my #win98 machine (which was upgraded from #Win95) to #Win2K. That was a special #os for me. It was neat because for the first time it seemed like #windows might be capable of stability and usefulness. I really liked the trash icon.
Funny enough, years later, I downgraded a server from w2k to w95, and hosted a swath of early web2.0 stuff on it via Apache.
Good times.
