With now 3 generations facing the prospect of:
-Working yourself to the bone until you are literally too old to work anymore.
-Relying on savings and a part-time job to get you by until death.
-Losing all said savings once you inevitably get an illness that you can’t simply “gut” through, because no doubt our medical system will still be hell.
-Getting kicked out onto the streets at the age of 75.
-Dying under the one bridge in the state whose underpass isn’t booby-trapped via hostile architecture. (“But muh nursing homes!” Yeah, let’s face the prospect of dying under the care of the Gentle Haitians.)
The question isn’t “why are these young people revolting?”
The question needs to be “How haven’t all of these young people revolted by now?”
Thanks to the Boomers, we will never see retirement. And thanks to them, our prospects of being able to start families to help us through in the event that retirement never comes…. Are still next to nil, thanks to the simple fact that we are literally all too busy to even attempt a stable romance past a quick fuck.
The Boomers deserve violent execution, not because they made the big money number in wall street go down. They deserve it, because they sold our futures off to a life of servitude that ends only in abandonment and despair… In order to fund for themselves a gold watch and one last trip to Margaritaville on a reverse mortgage, courtesy of Tom Selleck.
