In a word where the president administration is urging developers to stop using memory unsafe language like C for security reasons, why would I as a corporation fund the development of a kernel like #linux built by people who are stuck in their ways and want to stick to unsafe language. I would probably want to fund alternatives like redox since it uses a memory safe language #rust . It's really up to whether linux devs change their attitude that will be its success or its downfall
