Ubuntu seems to change the corners of tiled windows, even when using corner tiling (not just side-by-side tiling as supported in Mutter). Does anyone know how they're doing that? Because honestly, the tiling as-is on Ubuntu would be pretty nice to get into GNOME if possible. The Tiling Assistant suggestion stuff is pretty close to one of the features we want for Shell eventually, anyway. :)
