I remember watching a video by ESA on their official YouTube channel and they basically started their satellite CGI demo with "on a flat, non-rotating earth" to explain the basic fundamentals of how this is supposed to work - even with their own subtitles. Should still have that link in one of my Mastodon exports. 🌚
