Yeah, this is frustrating. I find the use of cash very helpful for budgeting. The added friction over ApplePay combined with the visceral feeling of losing funds when spending helps curb spending. I also find that accumulating change helps auto fund date nights with partner. Over a couple of months, it really adds up. I’ve been fortunate that the grocery stores and food spots I go to still accept cash, but I see the trend of going cashless.
