The customer architecture isn’t really for you to worry about. Inform on, yes. But if there’s a business need your customers could be running an array of Windows Server 2003 with unpatched Java, you don’t get much of a say in that. You can decide if you support it though.

But what you’re saying is that customers information and services might be at risk when hosting with you beyond that posed by using a SaaS provider, and you’ve taken the decision to not inform them because it might make them exit the platform?

Trust me, your customers want to know that, and I know they’d be alarmed that the CISO is saying that publicly.

And on the contacts at security vendors, the CISOs, CTO, and CEOs of them have enormous sway, as you’d expect, which is why we all get together to discuss these things regularly.
