This 'AI action plan' that Keith has announced today (on the back of some Tony Blair Institute suggestion) is exactly the same sort of meaningless waffle that Blair himself came up with in the 1990s / 2000s with his 'Universities for Industry' initiative.
I remember it well.
It started out as an unfeasable pipe-dream of a massive super computer in Yorkshire IIRC that would deliver 'online learning' direct to the computers of UK students.
What we actually ended up with was some office somewhere, just sending out CD ROMs in the post to students.
The whole thing was quietly forgotten.
