The movie In Time with Justin Timberlake reminds me of this Stargate program. Humans were biologically engineered to have a physical clock that counted down to their death. If you didn't get time from working or other means you would just die. It eventually created this oligarchy that ruled over those fighting for time constantly whereas those that owned the time were immortal and indulgent in every way possible. Shitty acting but lots of symbolism.
