npub1hrwq3wuzv479nf7ayq0ddlmw973p4jh2jqlhe6zyvcxmxht8addsyp70yp (npub1hrw…70yp) I agree that it's good to have curators but blocklists are extremely difficult to maintain and are easily corruptable. It's not a good system technically speaking and it's important to not conflate technology with feelings here.
IMO the carrot model (e.g. promote who to follow) is much better than stick. Primarily the stick model is useful for resisting engagement incentives of centralized networks (twitter) while we don't have that problem here so the carrot model should be preferred.
