"Hitler and the Nazis: Evil on Trial" on Netflix reminded me that Hitler got to be Chancellor of a coalition government in which the Nazi's were a minor partner because the "moderate " right wing parties would rather form a government with fascists than the evil Social Democrats.
The Nazis were never socialists, that only got put in the name because for a short period Hitler thought it would help attract working class voters.
