I've been on Mastodon for over a year. I read this article by David Pierce! And yet, there are parts of the fediverse that I find intensely confusing. (And note, I am a computer person).
Lemmy, Pixelfed, Invidious? Do you need a different server type & username to use these .... services for the lack of a better word? Is there a great explainer article out there? If so, link please!
