I tried #Darktable on my shot of the Milky Way above Yellowknife but it didn't end very well.
BUT I did manage to find a new #photography workflow without using Adobe or Capture One that seems to be okay at denoising and getting me the right results.
A bit long winded, but I got there. Topaz Denoise first to create a denoised DNG, and then used Affinity Photo 2 to edit the DNG. Added a little bit of noise back in to hide some of the minor denoising artefacts... and voilà.
What do you think?
