Spouse suggested I watch the movie, The Thing (remake), on Netflix, which he’d already seen. Surprisingly, I found it eerie, suspenseful and sort of entertaining. Not my usual sort of film, since the special effects were pretty gory. But, it got my mind off politics for a couple of hours. So, highly recommended for that reason alone. Maybe check out the more highly acclaimed John Carpenter original from 1982 starring Kurt Russell, too. The original wasn’t a hit, because ET came out that same yr.
