I'm all for many of the 'woke' causes. But it's sad to see woke leaders advocating for the marriage of government and Silicon Valley while they promote wanton censorship, official propaganda and coordinated cover-ups of political leaks. Have we learned nothing from George Orwell or Joseph Stalin? Is the end result another totalitarian communist China? How many times must we repeat the lessons history that power corrupts absolutely? No man or group of men (especially not corrupt corporations or government regulators) should have the power to decide exclusively what is true or not true or who is allowed to speak freely online. Digital rights are human rights. That power is already being utilized and sold to the highest bidder. The progressive needs to get back to their roots in the civil rights movement - which was founded on free speech principles. Don't ever ask me to vote for a Democrat again if 'woke' is going to mean supporting the technofascist merger of Big Tech and corrupt government. This is just one of the reasons I left the Democratic Party and cannot support them until they return to the roots of liberalism which have been utterly abandoned these last few years. Till then I'm voting for Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
