Does my hope that Donald Trump will be executed for treason exclude me from the progressive side of politics? Am I becoming a Conservative because I'm beginning to think the death sentence would actually be suitable punishment for his crimes?

I suppose a corollary question would be: do progressives necessarily espouse compassion?
