It used to be I would get up in the mornings and doomscroll twitter and feel bad about things.

Now, I check in on Mastodon, and my feed is filled with thoughtful, passionate, funny, and relatable people with backgrounds as diverse and colorful as the world actually is.

I was very bummed about the twitter demise, but here it feels like I'm closer to the real thing.
