This is definitely a bittersweet and melancholy Christmas for me. One of the very few in my adult life that I've spent on my own, now that Alyssa's in assisted living.
Well, *mostly* on my own--I was over there tonight and will be back in the morning, along with her sister... and I did a good hike down in the Blue Hills today. But it's definitely different and it's taking some getting used to.
