quoting note1243…afszBeen busy working on stuff a little up the stack in Reticulum. There is a concept of a propagation node in the LXMF space. If two parties are not online at the same time then they cannot route a message to each other directly (by this I mean any number of hops but whilst online). They can, however, send a special LXMF message to a propagation node. These propagation nodes store messages and forward them on request. The two parties also need not use the same propagation node either, this is because after some time the propagation nodes sync with each other.
When one or both of the parties come online or at least within reach of their configured propagation nodes they can query it for new messages.
