I've been in Madeira for the past two months, and what can I say. It's been a wild time here!
Sovereign Engineering (npub1s0v…rmq5) and finishing it with the Atlantis conference brought some of the best conversations and ideas that can't be compared. The amount of care, kindness, and intelligence people have in this space is unmatched, and it requires in-person interactions for that to fully come out. Without them, you can't have the open and honest conversations necessary to grow this space.

We came in as the "North Star" for the SEC, but honestly, we are babies in all of this, and we knew we would get an immense amount of value and learning. Huge credit to PABLOF7z (npub1l2v…ajft), Gigi ⚡🧡 (npub1der…xzpc), Martin, and everyone else. I've learned so much about myself, my team, and ideas around Mutiny in general. It may take another month or so to wrap up some of the work we've done here, but expect some exciting announcements later this week.

The first cohort is incredibly talented, and it has been an honor meeting everyone and sharing endless ideas. I can't wait to see where everyone ends up. We've already come a long way. It's only the beginning. It always reminds me of the early days of Lightning, being an absolute noob at the 2019 Berlin conference, and how pretty much everyone from that crowd has gone on and done even more significant things. It might not be what's being worked on now, but this life is a journey. It's all about planting seeds, taking one step in the right direction at a time, and seeing where it all takes you.

The conference was also a banger. It pulled in all the best people. I loved finishing SEC with it to communicate and validate some of our ideas with a broader audience. I was glued to the open source stage, which was filled with signals and the right people. Massive credit to Marce (npub1y67…q62h), Anna (npub1zu5…qtgz), Andre, and the endless other people who helped pull that off. It was flawless from my perspective and a unique, first-of-its-kind experience.

There is so much more to say and reflect on, but actions speak louder than words, and the impacts of the last few months will prove to be very meaningful in the months and years to come.

Thank you to all involved. I made some lifelong friends in the process, and I'm honored to say that.
