My suggestion is: Get yourself a more powerful NAS (buy a used pc/laptop) and add your services and then get a static IP for it and only allow VPN connections to it.
Set up a backup that requires a key-file to a cloud host of your choice and one to an external drive.
Laws, regulations and companies change. You can't trust anyone that your data is still safe and protected tomorrow.
