An icy, snowy day here today. My university initially told everyone to stay home until noon (classes don't start until next week), but then revised that to closing for the whole day.

I worked from home, getting a few odd jobs done. During the morning the power flickered a few times, accompanied by the boom of a distant transformer explosion. Luckily, our power has stayed on, except for a few minutes during dinner, spent in dread of staying up to babysit the pipes.
