Tapir (npub100z…w3l7) I don't expect ranting about this to change people's ideology. But I don't know, maybe it helps some people to hear me rant about this.
I'm just tired of people assuming they live in a vacuum and that somehow being exposed to things shouldn't be an issue for me. It's one thing when they do this in the privacy of their own homes or a private space like a party where this is expected. It's another thing when you are exposing people to this when they aren't looking for that. Women dressed in a provocative way is everywhere. It has become the norm. It is my problem that I have to deal with now... I just wish these people would recognise that living in a society like this has consequences and that they are exposing people to this. To actually think about that and what it does to how we interact with each other.
It's a shame that we have lost these communities and that the education system has been taken over by people that would expose children to these things. That would put them in further danger. I don't know how to navigate this except to keep them away from it. But then again, how do you avoid taking them to town?
