I listened to an episode of The Golden Girls the other night that had a gag like a solid minute long that was entirely visual. No dialog was spoken at all for over a minute, but, thanks to the audio descriptions, I knew exactly what was going on, and it makes me wish all television content had this.

Props to Netflix for committing to having audio descriptions for all their Netflix Originals a few years back, but I think we can do better.

You can search for "descriptive audio" on most streaming services to see the small selection of what they have at any moment, but it's my hope that if more people start using it, they'll start producing more.

Maybe on that next walk you take, pop on a sitcom with descriptive audio instead of a podcast and check out what that's like.
