The problem with Bluesky is, people who want federation have the fedi. People who want Twitter have Twitter. People who want Twitter but with banned content have $INSTANCE_NAME.
I think it's mostly hype as of now, I don't think PDS server hosting is going to be popular so far, especially if the only people hosting these are going to be the Mastodon types.
