It costs around £190 to replace the keyboard in most laptops now, it's fully ridiculous and causing so many laptops to end up in landfills (and me to lose a *lot* of work in the process!), proper takes the piss.
Keyboards for near-enough all recent laptops are welded into the palmrest assemblies now unfortunately which require a full rebuild of the lower half of the laptop and all the other palmrest components to be replaced too: Fingerprint readers, half the chassis etc, so more e-waste
