Having a disordered relationship with food stems from having a disordered relationship with Nature. When we aren't synced with the sun and the earth that is responsible for regulating our biology, the disconnect manifests in imbalances. Imbalances in our hormones and our neurotransmitters. This leads to unoptimized behaviors and habits. Unhealthy thoughts and lack of trust in oneself.
When we think we are separate from Nature, we cannot thrive. We start to blame food, fear food, over exercise as a way to grab control. As a way to try to regulate the body. But we are not in control, nor should we be. Nature knows far better than our little minds. When we relinquish control and connect back to the way we should be living, the body regulates on its own. It is designed to do so.
There is so much grace in the surrender. There is so much self-love in relinquishing control and trusting God and Nature.
You are here to enjoy this life. Taste all of the flavors and textures. Feel satiety. Feel safe. Feel nourished. When we learn to give these feelings back to ourself, you stop operating in a place of distrust and lack. You move to a place of abundance and love.
You are here to be vibrant, energized, and vital.
Why would you want anything less?
Our connection to food is so sacred. As we learn to respect the energy transfer, we start to heal.
