There’s an under appreciated thing of the transit people having their pet thing they consider excessive or at least unnecessary and keep arguing it’s not really needed like on principle, to demonstrate they got their priorities well in order. Like hating on fully low floor trams because they saw some writing on issues they have and decided that the true and hardy folk they are should always focus on the fundamentals first (or ever).
