Are you a technical leader? Do you want a framework to make decisions you have existing opinions on quickly but without being overly authoritarian? Try this:
1. Ask the person/team what they think is the best course of action. If they agree: do that.
2. If they disagree: explain why and have a time-boxed discussion (e.g. 24 hours) where all parties are heard.
3. If the time-box is met and no agreement is reached: you make the decision.
