I come bearing the mushroom pics promised earlier, along with a little microscopy :3
I honestly can't even believe how many spores this one mushroom produced, especially with how pure white the gills were when I collected it; had to scrape off a tiny piece from the spore print slides and dilute it with a bit of water to get a decent view of them under the microscope.
I believe that these are deer mushrooms (Pluteus cervinus), although I'm not 100% on the species. Definitely at least confident that these are in the genus Pluteus though.
