Sun (nprofile…h6f2) 卐 Niggi Hardare 卍 (nprofile…ckkr) 7666 (nprofile…gen3) (nprofile…0d5n) Arcana (nprofile…xfx6) ⚡Eineygður ☯ Flakkari⚡ (nprofile…nfq2) Une (Marriage of Golden Conquerors Arc) (nprofile…kt9x) I saw this in a very different context, just recently. Reading a book on how to breathe better, focused on some Soviet research. Short version: you know how hyperventilation is bad? Modern people are hyperventilating all the time relative to an actually healthy level of breathing. It excessively lowers the CO2 in your body and CO2 does all these good things (including: participating in oxygenation).

The book comes across as incredibly earnest. The author has the most important information ever and is desperate to convey it to you in a convincing and persuasive way. But then the author also says
>As you breathe more correctly you will start to see auras.
>Btw, apparently these Indian Yogis who breathed so little, they also had telekinetic powers and could fly!

So I stopped reading that book pretty quickly and went looking for a more serious author in the same vein, and found some credible western PhD. And when I started reading, it had the EXACT SAME THESIS as from the first book, but less earnestly conveyed, and without the abrupt references to weird shit, and with only some generic breathing-exercises. And with more than one appeal per chapter of "join my community for more, buy my lesson for more".

I don't know the entire timeline, but I went from reading a slightly esoteric text to reading one that'd been copied, whitewashed, and degraded to better appeal to the modern audience.

So I returned to tradition and the first book. Maybe the Yogis could fly.
