Saw a piece on "ai" use in school today. A student was explaining how he used copilot to "research" material for a paper. Then he showed how he wrote a prompt to get a couple of images to use. His words: "they're a little weird but good enough for a presentation."
So in summary we're teaching young people:
- that it's ok to use unattributed, possibly stolen content
- to not consider whether the energy and water consumption is worth it (possibly because they don't know about the issues)
