A friend sent me this article by Ben Wehrman (nprofile…wwax) https://www.benwehrman.com/my-carnivore-journey/ and I can't help but recall my own one month carnivore experience back in 2021.
I felt absolutely amazing! And experienced several of the benefits Ben did.
The main drawback was a lack of energy on my final rep or two when strength training (heavy).
That's why I concluded animal-based would be best for me. Because fruit and honey give me the extra energy I need.
But my cardio was insanely good.
As a jiujitsu athlete gearing up to compete in bigger tourneys, I don't lift heavy. I lift to improve my mobility (light).
So I wouldn't experience that one drawback if I did carnivore again. Plus, I could use my insane cardio as a weapon.
I mainly eat beef, eggs, raw dairy, honey, and fruit, but maybe I'll give strict carnivore another go!
