The Shipping Forecast seems to have several birthdays, but on the 1st of January BBC Radio 4 will be spending the day celebrating 100 years of it. I've just had a lovely evening sitting underneath Cutty Sark for the recording of a special episode of Front Row about it, to be broadcast on Jan 1st.
