Privacy in crypto is highly important, and I'd point to the Ledger CEO kidnapping as one example. How many rich and ultrarich are safe because of banking-secrecy? If you are a public person, or you are rich and your identity is leaked, you and your family become the target of extortion and kidnapping. How can this be solved, without introducing 3rd parties?
