Iraq says coalition forces committed crime in targeting sites
[USA's] International [anti-ISIL/Daesh] coalition forces in Iraq committed a "heinous crime" by targeting security sites, Iraqi military spokesman Yahya Rasool said in a statement on Wednesday.
Rasool called the attacks a serious violation of the coalition's mission and mandate. The United States on Tuesday carried out a strike in Iraq in what U.S. officials described as self defence.

It's not "self defence" if you're invited to someone else's home to do some gardening and you start attacking the residents' uncle.
If you feel you may get attacked by the uncle, you ask the host to deal with it or you leave. You don't throw a bomb in their face before they've made a move and then go crying "he started it!". That is not "self defence", that is unhinged.
